POLICY DETAILS

Houndgate Townhouse / Saltfish retains the right to alter a booking should circumstances require it and, in such instance, will make every effort to contact and notify the customer.

A valid credit card details must be provided when making a booking, the card will be debited at the time of booking, no money will be taken at this time.

Our cancellation policy is you can cancel any time up to 48 hours prior to arrival, cancellation within 48 hours the first night’s room charge will be taken from your card.

In the event of non-payment of extras on departure or damage to and removal of hotel property the allocated credit card will be debited of the outstanding balance.

For group bookings of 6 rooms or more we require notice of cancellation at least 72 hours prior to the earliest check in time. In case of failure to meet the terms of our cancellation policy we reserve the right to charge the full cost of the first night’s accommodation booked.

Bedrooms are available for check in after 3pm on day of arrival.

Bedrooms must be vacated no later than 11.00am on the day of departure.

A maximum of 2 adults are permitted in any room.

Infants are classed as children who are under 5 years and accommodated in a pull out bed.

An extra Z bed can be put in some family rooms but can only be used by children up to 16 years old. There is an additional charge for this.

Cots are available for infants by prior arrangement at no extra cost but numbers are limited so this is on a first come first served basis.

Smoking is NOT permitted in ANY BEDROOM (this includes e-cigarettes that can trigger our fire alarm system). An additional deep-clean charge of £150 will be made to any guest who disregards this request.

Prices shown are for the current year which runs up until 31st December. Prices may be increased for bookings in the following period.

Guests who book B&B are not guaranteed a table for dinner and are advised to reserve a table in advance should they wish to eat in the restaurant. When booking on a D,B&B package a table is automatically reserved.

Child rates are for B&B only on all packages (dinner is charged as taken).

 

Table Booking Terms

Guests may cancel free of charge at anytime prior to reserving a table for a party of 1 – 5 diners.

When booking a for a party of 6 diners, you will be required to submit credit card details to secure the table. A charge of £20 per head will be taken for each diner that does not attend the booking.

When booking a table for 7 or more guests, please contact Saltfish directly (01325 486011). A deposit of £20 per head will be required to secure the booking. The deposit for each guest is only non-refundable if a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the booking time.

 

Legal Information

PAYMENT

All prices shown are applicable at the time of booking and are not valid in conjunction with any other offer.

Upon arrival at the hotel and check-in you will be asked for a mandatory pre-authorisation to the value of £10.00 from a credit or debit card.

The full price of each stay and any additional charges incurred during your stay are to be settled in full before departure by cash, cheque with current banker’s card, MasterCard, Visa or American Express. We are unable to accept Maestro or Solo cards as a form of guarantee or payment either via our website or Reservations team.

If a promotional rate stay is booked a non refundable and non transferable full pre payment is required prior to arrival and charged to your credit card. Credit card details are otherwise taken only as a booking guarantee for all other rates, unless where detailed.

Your credit card will be charged for the full amount if you fail to settle your account before departure.

VAT is included at the current prevailing rate unless otherwise stated. Bookings are taken at the discretion of EJR Inns Limited and are subject to availability. Prices may be restricted or may not apply at certain times.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS

Houndgate Townhouse / Saltfish treats all guests as individuals and therefore will endeavour to fulfil individual needs during your time here. However, whilst every effort is made to fulfil your requests, unfortunately, we can not always guarantee these and failure to do so will not constitute a breach of contract.

CANCELLATIONS / AMENDMENTS BY US

Cancellation charges and terms are dependent on the rate type booked for your stay (i.e. Advanced Saver, Promotional and Flex). If staying in a group separate cancellations terms will be applicable.

In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. If this does arise you can 1) accept the changed arrangements as notified, 2) make an alternative arrangement with us or, 3) cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies paid dependent on rate type booked.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel any booking made on a promotional rate and rebook on an alternative date – subject to availability.

CAR PARKING

Houndgate Townhouse/ Saltfish does not have any parking facilities but the multi story car park behind the hotel offers complimentary 2 hour free parking and free parking between 6:00pm and 8:00am.

COTS / EXTRA BEDS

Cots and extra bedding are available during your stay, please let us know at time of booking if you have additional needs during your stay. If they are not requested upon time of booking we cannot guarantee availability.
